Overcoming Green Thumb Industries Operational Challenges

Like many growing companies, Green Thumb Industries needed a way to streamline its wholesale cannabis operations and increase efficiency to take its business to the next level.

Before onboarding with Leaf Trade, the GTI team used a competing Leaf Trade platform. Shortly after onboarding to the competing platform, they realized the technology didn’t offer proper integration with Metrc, the regulatory cannabis tracking system used in most cannabis markets. This led to GTI having to manually update its inventory, which was time-consuming and left room for error.

The team had a need for a messaging system to better manage their customer communications and connect with new buyers. Additionally, they needed a platform that would integrate with Sage Intacct to streamline their accounting process.

The GTI team was an early platform adopter of Leaf Trade and was happy with how the platform streamlined its wholesale operations.

Our integration with Metrc enabled the GTI team to seamlessly import their product catalog, inventory, and lab results into Leaf Trade. They were also able to track, manage, and update their inventory to help with compliance tracking. Through the Metrc integration, GTI had a  quick and easy way to upload inventory that mapped everything according to the product, batch, variant, price, inventory count, and strain.

Another integration that was crucial for GTI was an integration with Sage Intacct, which Leaf Trade modeled directly on GTI’s needs. The Sage Intacct integration allowed GTI to automate its accounting processes and track and manage payments in Leaf Trade to save time and improve accounting accuracy. Additionally, this eliminated the need for manual data entry and increased the team’s efficiency in their accounting processes.
